E-Land Collection: A Wardrobe of Imagination

Exhibition Dates: April 24 – August 23, 2026
Venue: My Art Museum One Grove

We begin with the image of opening a wardrobe door.

The quiet passage of time between folds of fabric,
the traces of memory lingering at our fingertips.

Countless garments, stories, and creative gestures accumulate over time to become a cultural legacy. While RSVP: An Invitation to a Great Legacy, presented at DDP two years ago, reflected on the history fashion has traversed, A Wardrobe of Imagination: Special Exhibition from the E-Land Collection turns its gaze toward the very beginning — the moment when that legacy first began to take shape.

Fashion is often remembered through completed garments, yet every creation begins with an unseen fragment of thought: a fleeting landscape, an unfamiliar object, an unexpected spark of imagination. Creativity does not belong solely to the exceptional. It begins with the simple act of seeing the world differently.

This exhibition traces how small moments encountered in everyday life are transformed into extraordinary works of wearable art. A single flower, a folded sheet of paper, a fleeting interplay of light and shadow — each passes through the designer’s eye before becoming a garment.

Drawn from the E-Land Museum’s archive of over 500,000 authentic pieces collected over the past thirty years, and created in anticipation of a future global fashion museum, this exhibition opens one wardrobe from within that vast collection.

From Alexander McQueen to Yves Saint Laurent,
the beginnings of visionary creation unfold within this space.

And within it, our own imagination begins to move as well.
